It was 25 degrees Fahrenheit outside when we awoke this morning. We drove the heavily developed west shore road along Lake Tahoe and stopped briefly to admire Emerald Bay although the wind masked the sky blue of the water. We rejoined US 50 again at the south end of the lake. Unlike Nevada, California US 50 is a freeway that speeds skiers to the mountains.
The camper returned to her birthplace, the Four Wheel Campers factory in Woodland, California where we had the small rear roof pistons upgraded and folding steps added to the flatbed skirt. Of course we also ate tacos at our favorite place.
After moving our gear out of the back seat of the truck, we picked up our son at the Sacramento Airport and drove to Chico, California to visit our families and in-laws.
