Fitzgerald Marine Preserve and On to Chico

This morning we walked over a collapsed road to visit Fitzgerald Marine Reserve. It was high tide so we couldn’t visit the famous tide pools, however, walking under the lichen covered Monterey Cypress trees in the morning mist was quite magical.

Repacked the car to make a third seat, picked up our daughter-in-law, and headed to Chico, California to stay with our families. Stopped in San Francisco for a posole soup lunch along the way.
