Joshua Tree NP to Tucson Mountain Park

We cooked breakfast in our motel room and then drove through Joshua Tree National Park. The rock formations were fantastic and so were the joshua trees themselves. We stopped at Skull Rock and took a short walk at Cottonwood Spring to see the native palm trees.

Then it was a long day of Interstate driving with lots of trucks to reach Tucson Mountain Park and camp for the night. In the mountains just a few miles west of Tucson it is lush green Sonoran desert compared to the Mojave.

Being so close to town, we of course went and found a tacqueria for dinner.
