Had breakfast at the popular Tioga Gas Mart/Whoa Nellie Deli and headed over the Tioga pass into Yosemite. The first panoramic view of the eastern Sierras escarpment brought tears to my eyes. On our way to the coast, we only had time to stop at the Yosemite Valley overlook.
Down the other side of the Sierras through groves of trees killed by beetles and past low water reservoirs, California is really suffering from warm winters and draught.
Arrived at our AirBnB rental in Moss Beach at Sunset. Our host was delightful and we enjoyed chatting over wine while watching the sun set into the Pacific. Had a wonderful Peruvian dinner at La Costanera in Montara Beach.
